This part of the book is telling us of Hermas the Prophet, and the Woman Angel, he saw in his vision.

She therefore looking back upon me smiling a little, said unto me, see thou seven women about the tower? Lady, I said, I see them. This tower said she is supported by them, according to the Command of the Lord, hear therefore the effects of them.

The first of them, which holds fast her hands, is called FAITH, by her the elect shall be saved. The next which is girt up and looks manly is named, ABSTINENCE, she is the daughter of FAITH. Whosoever therefore shall follow her shall be happy in all his life, because he shall abstain from all evil works, believing that if he shall contain himself from all concupiscence, he shall be the heir of eternal life. And what lady, said I, are the other five?

They are, replied she, the daughters of one another. The first of them is called SIMPLICITY; the next INNOCENCE, the third MODESTY; then DISCIPLINE; and the last of all is CHARITY. When therefore thou shall have fulfilled the works of their mother, thou shall be able o do all things. Lady I said, I would know what particular virtue everyone of these has.

Hear then, replied she, they have equal virtues, and their virtues are knit together, and follow one another as they were born. From FAITH proceeds ABSTINENCE; from ABSTINENCE, SIMPLICITY; from SIMPLICITY, INNOCENCE; from INNOCENCE, MODESTY; and from MODESTY; DISCIPLINE and CHARITY. Therefore the works of these are Holy, and chaste and right.

Whosoever shall serve these, and hold fast to their works, he shall have his dwelling in the tower with the Saints of God. Then I asked her concerning the times, whether the end was near t hand; But she cried out with a loud voice saying , O foolish man! Dost thou not see the tower a building? When therefore the tower shall finished, and built, it shall have an end indeed it shall soon be accomplished.

Hermas beheld a great beast, like it were a whale, and fiery locust came out of his mouth. The height of the beast was about 100 feet, and he had head like a large earthen vessel. The beast had upon his head four colors, black, red, and gold, white.

Black denotes the world you live in. The fiery and bloody color signifies that this age must be destroyed by fire and blood. The Golden part are ye, who have escaped of it. For as Gold is tried by the fire, and is made profitable, so are ye in like manner, tried , who dwell among the men of this world. They therefore that shall endure to the end, and be proved by them shall be purged, and as gold, by this trial is cleansed

And looses its dross, so shall he also cast away all sorrow and trouble, and be made pure for the building

of the tower. But the white color denotes the time of the world which is to come, in which the elect of God shall dwell; because the elect of God shall be pure and without spot until life eternal!

King Rasta Fari was crowned Emperor Hail Selassie I on November 2nd 1930 as a King of kings Lord of lords of Ethiopia. But to many sons and daughters of Africa/Ethiopia in the west, King Rasta fari was the King and Emperor of all Black people in the African Diaspora. Ethiopia represented the last country in Africa that was not colonized, and Emperor Hail Selassie I was the embodiment of Ethiopia, past and present, in all his Gory!

Emperor Hail Selassie was a symbol of independence, and Ethiopia represented the last bastion and custodian of our African heritage, and pride as a free people. Hence, Hail Selassie I was looked upon as the Redeemer of the entire Black race. Marcus Garvey, as the most popular African leader, had asked the pertinent and burning questions about: Where is the black man's government? Where is his navy? Where is his army? Where is his president? Where is his King? Apparently, Garvey had his eyes set on being the de facto black president of the world. However, Garvey's ego was shattered since the coronation of King Rasta fari.

Garvey, as a political and social activist and co-founder of the UNIA, was not a pillar in the foundation of the Rastafarian movement, but one ca say that some of his actions and speeches at times sought to derail the movement. In 1933, according to Z. Munroe Scarlett, Garvey bluntly refused to allow Leonard Howell "to sell the Emperor's pictures in Edelweiss Park (the headquarters of the UNIA)." (Dread History, p.25)

The main prophet of the Rastafarian faith should be Leonard P. Howell. Nonetheless, one can definitely say that Hibbert, Hinds and Howell were the primary early teachers of the Rastafarian foundation /pillar, which says that King Hail Selassie I is the Divine Creator!

It was Brother Howell, the Gong, who helped to cultivate, shape and fashion the Rastafarian family. The Gong, as he was popularly called on ' the Pinnacle" camp, saw the importance of the African engaging in social collective living, and thus created the Pinnacle Hill Community.

Pinnacle was formerly a large plantation estate which Howell and some of his associates purchased and restored in the form of a beautiful African village setting. The community's operation was based on the principles of economics independence and communalism.

On "The Pinnacle" there were many Rastafarians, brethren and sisters children and families, along with individual ones. The structure was set up whereby there were many artisan and skilled people dwelling together as a community.

The Pinnacle community was set up sometime in the late 1930's or early 1940's, soon after Howell was released from Bellevue Mental Hospital. However, by the middle of the 1940's, toward the end of World War 11, Pinnacle was becoming a proven success story.

In the legend of the Tauric Goddess, Diana, it is said that every stranger, who landed on her shore,was sacrificed on her alter. Have you ever wondered what the Christmas tree has to do with Christ? Or the ornaments you placed on the tree, or the meaning of the word yulitide? or where the tradition of the mistletoe came from, and how it became a symbol of Christmas? Reader, they have nothing whatsoever to do with the birth of Jesus Christ, but are some of the traditions observed to honor the birth of pagan god child tammuz.

There is no scriptural evidence that supports the birth of Christ as being December 25; but history says December 25 was kept thousands of years before the birth of Christs, in honor of the pagan messiah. Another name for tammuz, the pagan god child was, 'Baal-bereth,' which means: 'lord of the fir tree!'

The sun god, the mother goddess, an her son, according to babylonian mythology were mystically changed into trees. This is the origin of burning the yule log.

Nimrod defied as the sungod was symbolized by a big fir tree, stripped of all its branches, and cut almost to the ground. But the great serpent which symbolized the life restorer, whose name is Aesculaues, twist itself around the dead stock and lo, at its side a young tree- a tree of an entirely different kind, which is destined never to be cut down by hostile power; even the palm tree, the well known symbol of victory.

People of Aryan stock who believed that the oak tree was a symbol of zeus or jupiter, believed that this branch was a mistletoe which grew on the oak tree, and to be kissed the mistletoe would insure fertility. The branch was a name given to the Christ, Isaiah 11:1 ' And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of His roots.

If the god answered their prayers, they took their dead victims head along with the spoils of war, and dragged them to their sacred groves, and their hung them on their sacred trees. Such offerings have been recovered from the bogs in Germany. This begot the origin of hanging ornaments from Christmas trees!

Little sheep of the Lord's pasture, it is impossible to ignore the pagan festival of Christmas. The world is commemorating the Birth of Christ, not tammuz. There is an advantage during the Christmas season to preach the real Jesus of the Bible. However, we should keep ourselves from the vanities of the pagan festival, not to mention the cost, and the death caused by the lighted Christmas trees.

" There is however, an opportunity during the Christmas season with its beautiful music, to make others aware that Christ is no longer a helpless baby, in a manger, but is the Savior of the world, the King of kings, Lord of lords. Many who thinks the Bible and its messages is foolishness, can be reached during the Christmas season. Where it would be almost impossible to talk to them at another time. Even the Christmas tree can be used to teach the children a great lesson.

The children should be taught that it is historical fact that placing bulbs, tinsel, and lights on a Christmas tree is pure pagan heathenism. This pagan custom got its start from killing enemies and hanging their heads and their spoils from pagan sacred trees. It would not be a sin if an evergreen tree was set up in the church during the Christmas season if it was done to be an object lesson. If the parents would take the money they spend each year on Christmas trees, bulbs, lights, and expensive presents, and gave the money as an offering to advance the preachings of the Gospel, would not the Lord be pleased with such a self sacrifice?
